The only accredited Mobile Laboratory in Italy for olfactometric analysis
LOD (Laboratory of Dynamic Olfactometry) launches Italy's only accredited Mobile Laboratory for odor analysis.
LOD has recently made its Mobile Laboratory fully operational and achieved accreditation for it, making it the only one of its kind in Italy.
This innovative mobile lab offers enhanced flexibility for olfactometric analysis services across the Italian territory, enabling on-site odor monitoring through activities such as odour field inspections.
The LOD Mobile Laboratory is a fully equipped vehicle designed to transport all necessary instruments for determining odor concentration according to the UNI EN 13725:2022 technical standard. Additionally, it supports the evaluation of odor intensity and hedonic tone, following the VDI 3882 guidelines.
With Accredia certification under Category II, the laboratory fully complies with the UNI EN 13725:2022 standard for conducting dynamic olfactometry tests. The equipment includes an Ecoma T08EVO olfactometer, capable of simultaneous analysis with four selected panelists, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
On-Site Odor Monitoring
The Mobile Laboratory can perform olfactometric analyses directly on-site, enabling detailed odor mapping. This helps identify emission sources and address potential air quality issues effectively.
On-site training for odor assessors
This service is essential when paired with GeoNose®, LOD’s online platform for real-time odor monitoring, or with field inspections conducted in accordance with UNI EN 16841-1:2017 (a test for which LOD is accredited).
The Mobile Laboratory enables cost-effective training by allowing assessors to be trained directly on-site, reducing expenses and time associated with travel. This is particularly advantageous for companies that require qualified odor assessors for continuous odor monitoring at their facilities.
